Mike Savarese has devoted over 30 years of his professional life to helping his clients achieve their financial goals and enjoy a worry-free retirement. One area of Mike’s financial expertise includes helping retirees transition to the distribution phase of their investing lives. He offers practical strategies to help disperse retirement assets as tax-efficiently as possible, while ensuring a financial legacy for future generations.
Mike is also part of an exclusive organization as a Certified Ed Slott Master Elite IRA Advisor*. These members are dedicated to being leaders in the IRA industry with regular ongoing education, and are equipped with up-to-date tools and resources. Furthermore, for over 12 years, Mike has been a commentator on San Diego Radio airwaves discussing market trends and advising callers how to navigate the pit-falls of the financial markets on Radio AM 1000, AM 1170 and AM 600.
Mike was educated in Italy, Spain and the United States and is tri-lingual. He worked in the aerospace industry before starting his long and industrious financial career. Mike, as Founder of America’s Retirement Advisory Group, holds six different registrations and licenses in the investment and insurance area.
Mike has three wonderful children and all enjoy spending quality time together. In his leisure time, Mike enjoys racquetball and deep sea fishing. He is also a soccer referee, a volunteer for the Special Olympics, and works with the Special Needs Community in the San Diego area.

With more than 25 years experience in financial services – on top of the discipline, integrity, and focus learned while serving as a Navy Officer – Michael is committed to helping his clients achieve financial success. His understanding of investments and financial markets has been built from his extensive experiences acquired at such firms as Morgan Stanley and Paine Webber. His investment focus includes not only building wealth for working professionals, families and younger clients, but primarily helping retirees transition to the distribution phase of their investing lives.
Michael received his Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1981 where he participated in Navy ROTC and was Captain of the lacrosse team for the University. Prior to entering the financial industry in 1992, he served as an officer in the United States Navy, and worked for such well-known and respected companies as AH Robbins, Del Monte Foods and GE Medical Systems. His various professional registrations include 7, 31, 63 and 65. He also holds California Insurance Licenses for Variable and Life Products.
When not in the office, Michael is deeply involved at the Rock Church serving as a hospitality ministry leader, golf, road cycling, hitting the gym, hiking and generally being active and outdoors. He has served as event chairperson for the fall fundraiser for Canine Companions for Independence as well as raising a service dog for the organization and regularly participates in local charity fundraisers and golf tournaments. He is an avid reader as well as a music and cinema buff.
Director of Operations
Tina has worked as Director of Operations for over 12 years. She ensures that the office is running like a well-oiled machine, maintaining office efficiency, coordinating all administrative activities including customer care, organizing meetings, managing databases, scheduling and running our workshop events.
She is a native San Diegan with 2 wonderful daughters and 3 beautiful grandchildren. Living near and loving the ocean, she is a member of the La Jolla Cove Swim Club and swims several days each week. Also active in the sailing community, and is out on the water most weekends on the bay or up and down the coastline.
